Swim Lane Testing

I hope I have the name right!  I got to listen to Ward Cunningham talk about this at the PDX Cod Camp 2009 Speaker and Sponsor Reception this evening.  I made a big note to myself to see the demo on Saturday, but it is the same time as one of mine!  So I did a little searching and found this video.

This is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time.  Use Case driven Acceptance Tests with graphical business process inspection and verification.

Too bad some of the Wall Street boneheads did not have this kind of validation in their systems!  More Americans would not be wondering how to pay the bills right now!  As software professionals we have to reach for this level of visibility and automated feedback.  Ward said that because of the immediate feedback and the clarity of the feed back, the system actually cost LESS than it would have without the swim lane testing.

Here is the video.  Enjoy!
