I’m getting a lot of questions about how someone who has taken a Certified ScrumMaster class like my Certified ScrumMaster Workshop goes about actually securing their CSM.
The CST will upload the list of attendees for each class and pay the fee for your initial Scrum Alliance membership. This associates you with the class you attened. At this point the Scrum Alliance site sends an email to the address uploaded by the CST with a link for you to take the assessment. If you did not recieve that email, please check your spam folder and then contact your CST and they can cause the SA site to resend the email. Note that this is only done if you have never logged on to the SA site because this resend process also resets the member’s password.
Using the link in the email from the SA site you can take the assessment. Currently this is just a personal assessment. Everyone passes. However you can use the results to see where further study or experince might be helpful. Your CST cannot see your personal score, but we can see the average score for each class.
Once you take the assessment you will recieve another email from the SA and be able to print your CSM Certificate.
